The Life of a Reservist in Japan

That's right.  Another counter that means nothing but mine is pretty impressive.

Updated July 17, 2004 (Minor updates and corrections)

After the September 11th attack, the President declared war on terrorism.  Shortly afterwards the CNP (Chief of Naval Personnel) came calling.  He said they (the Navy) needed me in Yokosuka, Japan.  How could I pass up the opportunity for low pay and being away from my family for a year?

I thought that a good way to share photos with friends and family would be through a website.  As you can see below, I categorized them.  This is basically a no thrills site.

I was demobilized in October 2002 and discharged in December 2002.  Of course, I rejoined the naval reserves.  It's great to be back home but I really miss all of the friends I made in Japan.

I haven't decided what to do with this site yet.  I may transform it into something else but I don't know what yet.  I still have a lot of pictures not yet posted so I may just add some more pages soon.  Keep checking this site.

I've tried to make it easy to navigate through the site by using navigation buttons and thumbnails.  Links to other sites are in blue.  If you have any problems, questions, comments using this site you can e-mail me and let me know.  I'll fix it as soon as possible.  This site was created using a laptop which has a different resolution than most desktops.  I've found that using 1024 x 768 resolution works best.  Future pages will be created with a desktops resolution in mind.  I'm still learning.
